Community
Parent involvement and volunteers are an integral part of what makes St. John Paul II such an outstanding educational environment for our students. With our parents' support and involvement, StJPII is able to provide the students many opportunities and experiences both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage all parents to become StJPII volunteer and get involved in our school community by participating in one of our many parent organizations from the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), to volunteering in the Library, to chaperoning school field trips. Parents who become involved at StJPII have the wonderful opportunity to form a supportive network of friends. All StJPII volunteers must be Volunteer Approved which requires CMGConnect training, a background check and a signed Code of Conduct. For more information about becoming a volunteer, please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook.
The St. John Paul II Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has a rich history of providing quality student programs and donating countless hours of volunteer time toward these programs. Programs such as Art-a-la-carte, Library Helpers, Room Parents, New Parent Orientation, Newcomers' Coffee, and Birthday Recognitions are just a few of the many ways the PTO provides support to the school. Financially, the PTO annually donates funds raised from their events and fundraisers to purchase classroom supplies and instructional aids for the students.
Whether a parent has one or many hours available, there is a place for him or her at St. John Paul II. The parents are the key to an exceptional educational experience at St. John Paul II. It is through the dedication and talents of the many people who comprise the school community that St. John Paul II has grown to become an award-winning school and will be assured continued success in the future.
Per Archdiocesan policy, all volunteers must be StJPII Volunteer Approved.
