If I had a tuition loan last year, do I need to apply again this year?
Yes, a new loan application must be completed each year.

Where do I send my loan application?
Applications should be submitted to Stellar Bank at the Memorial branch (8800 Katy Freeway).  Please refer to the loan instruction sheet included with the application for more details about mailing, faxing or delivering your application to the school’s banking officers.

What else do I have to do after I submit my application?
  • The Bank will need a loan authorization form from the school business office authorizing you to apply for a StJPII tuition loan.  To obtain this form, you may email your request to the business manager at business@jp2.org.  An electronic copy of the loan authorization form will be sent directly to the loan officer at the bank.
  • Provide the bank with a copy of your tuition invoice.
  • When your loan is approved (usually within three - four weeks), the bank will contact you to make arrangements to sign the loan documents.  Your loan will be funded after the documents are signed.

Do I need to let the school know that I received my loan?
No, the bank will notify the school business office as each family’s loan is approved and funded.

What is the deadline to apply for a tuition loan?
  • New families should apply for a loan by March 15, 2024 to meet the tuition deadline of March 27, 2024.
  • Current families should apply for a loan by April 5, 2024 to meet the deadline of May 3, 2024. Tuition loan payments must be funded to StJPII by May 3rd to avoid late fees.  Late charges begin on May 4th. Tuition Loans take 3-4 weeks to process.

**Do late fees apply?
Yes, if your loan application is not processed and the school funded prior to the tuition due date, $100 late fees will be applied to your invoice as per our tuition late fees policy.

My child was just accepted to St. John Paul II.  Can I still apply for a loan?
If you are new to our school, your tuition due date will vary according to the date of your acceptance. Ideally, you should apply for your loan at least 3-4 weeks before your tuition due date. The school business office will work with you to ensure that the loan process does not delay your child’s registration.

When do my loan payments begin?
Tuition loans are structured with ten monthly payments, typically beginning in June and ending in March.  You may discuss any individual concerns about your payment schedule with the loan officers.  All tuition loans for the 2024-2025 school year must be paid in full by the end of March 2025.

What is the interest rate for the loans?
Please contact Stellar Bank for more information regarding current rates.

Who can I contact if I have more questions?
Please contact the school business manager at 281-496-1500.
