1. Preparation and Submission of Application
- For the 2026/2027 school year, submit applications anytime between October 1, 2025 and February 4, 2026 to be included in the first round of testing and decisions.
- To begin the online application, click on the 2026/2027 New Student Application button at the bottom of this page (WILL OPEN ON OCTOBER 1, 2025). You must create a separate application for each child you wish to enroll.
- Please call the Admissions Office if you are interested in the 8th grade.
- Application and paperwork are due by February 4, 2026.
- Applications received after the February application deadline will be tested on a rolling basis as space becomes available.
- Please include Mother and Father's information on the application. Use the "ADD CONTACT" button at the bottom to list parents/legal guardians ONLY.
- The $300 application / testing fee per child is non-refundable.

2. Submit Necessary Documents
Please provide the following documents to StJPII by uploading them on your online application account. Teacher Recommendations should be sent directly to StJPII through mail or email to admissions@jp2.org.
*Immunizations, Report Cards, Test Scores and Teacher Recommendations must be in English.

3. Schedule of Screening / Testing
- Submit the online application and required documents by the deadline in order for your child(ren) to be included in our first round of testing and decisions. First round of admissions testing will be held in February 2026 and you will be e-mailed your child(ren's) testing time on February 9, 2026.
- Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Screening - we ask that you allow 1 to 1-1/2 hours. These are age-appropriate developmental assessments for Concepts, Language and Motor Skills.
- 1st Grade Testing - we ask that you allow 1 to 2 hours. These tests are grade-appropriate nationally-normed entrance tests.
- 2nd - 8th Grade Testing - we ask that you allow 3 hours. These tests are grade-appropriate nationally-normed entrance tests.
4. Decision letters will be emailed March 6, 2026
- For all applicants testing in February, decision letters will be emailed on March 6, 2026 at 4:00PM.
- For all applicants testing after February, decision letters are emailed within 2 weeks.
- If accepted, tuition is due IN FULL within 2 weeks of initial acceptance date unless going through our tuition loan program.
ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
Applicants are considered for acceptance to St. John Paul II Catholic School using the following criteria:

By September 1 of the school year applying for, the child must be four (4) years of age to enroll in
Pre-Kindergarten, five (5) years old to enroll in Kindergarten, and six (6) years old to enter First Grade. -
All PreK and Kindergarten students must be fully toilet-trained. No pull-ups or diapers will be allowed.

When all other enrollment criteria are equal, Catholic applicants and/or children of alumni will be accepted over non-Catholic applicants, and Christian applicants will be given priority over non-Christian applicants.

Passing grades of “C” (78%) or better in all subjects are required for the last 3 academic years.
-
Prior standardized test scores of 60th percentile or higher (1st - 7th Grade) are required for the last three academic years.
-
PreK and Kindergarten applicants must score 75% or higher on St. John Paul II Catholic School entrance screening. 1st - 7th Grade applicants must score 60% or higher on the entrance exam and demonstrate satisfactory writing skills through their responses to certain parts of the exam.

Behavior and conduct ratings of satisfactory or better on both report cards and teacher recommendations are required.

If the Admissions Committee is undecided, the applicant may be asked to meet with the administration or the teachers for an interview.

Upon acceptance to St. John Paul II, PreK and Kindergarten students MUST re-test annually and meet appropriate percentiles of 75% or above to advance to the next grade.

Students that receive a “Provisional Acceptance” letter will be required to attend StJPII’s Summer Enrichment Program in June. Registration for the Summer Enrichment Program opens on our website in January.

After submitting the online application and non-refundable application fee, you will be contactedto schedule the admissions test and discuss the next steps.

3. Schedule of Screening / Testing

After submitting the online application and non-refundable application fee, you will be contacted by the Director of Admissions to schedule the admissions test and discuss the next steps.
-
All admissions testing is held in person at St. John Paul II Catholic School.
-
Admissions testing is administered by StJPII teachers and staff and is conducted on paper, not electronically.
- Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Screening - we ask that you allow 1 to 1-1/2 hours. These are age-appropriate developmental assessments for Concepts, Language and Motor Skills.
