Lower School (1-5)

In the First through Fifth Grades, students are continually challenged to reach their personal academic potential. This is accomplished through a core curriculum including language arts, math, science and social studies. Field trips and hands-on experimentation reinforce classroom learning. Additionally, the students are given social and spiritual guidance through the incorporation of religious studies in the daily curriculum. Music, art, physical education, library, Spanish and computer literacy are an integral part of each student's educational experience at StJPII.

Student activities include participation in spelling and geography bees, math league, early robotics, oratorical competitions, and various academic competitions during the year. After school programs offered to elementary students include scouting programs, chess, gymnastics, choir, drama, science, and participation in various other sports through the West Houston Christian Sports Association.
