Elementary Teacher Position:

Middle School Theology Teacher Position:

St. John Paul II is searching for a highly qualified teacher. All candidates must be a practicing Catholic, have a Bachelor's degree with at least 12 hours in Theology & education courses and hold a valid, state teaching certificate. Experience preferred. Physical Education Teacher/Coaching Position:

St. John Paul II is searching for a highly qualified teacher. All candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 12 hours within content area and hold a valid, state teaching certificate. Coaching/teaching experience preferred.

Staff:

Elementary Assistant Principal Position:

St. John Paul II Catholic School is searching for an Assistant Principal. The assistant principal guides teachers in planning, developing, and using appropriate instructional procedures and materials as well as assists the principal with administrative issues, especially those that deal with student services, admissions, and placement. In this capacity the assistant principal must demonstrate a high level of teaching proficiency, a thorough knowledge of instructional strategies, developmentally appropriate practices, curriculum, and classroom management.

Part-Time Development Associate

St. John Paul II Catholic School is in search of a part-time Development Associate dedicated to cultivating meaningful relationships with potential donors, integral to advancing the school's mission. This role encompasses organizing and leading community-building events, as well as conducting individual meetings with community members to further engagement and support. Nurse

St. John Paul II Catholic School is searching for a registered nurse to function as the health care provider on campus. This position is full time. A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three years nursing experience is required, pediatrics or school nursing preferred.

Applicants must have a current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.

A current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required.

Certification in vision, hearing, scoliosis, and acanthosis screening is preferred, but training is provided.

Reading Specialist Position:

St. John Paul II is searching for a highly qualified reading resource/intervention teacher. All candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, hold a valid, state teaching certificate, and be Nehaus trained. Experience preferred.

Substitute teacher:

St. John Paull II Catholic School seeks the services of talented, qualified educators who wish to serve as substitute teachers for grades Pre-Kindergarten – Eighth. Preference is given to candidates with teaching experience. Successful applicants must provide up to three references, pass a screening and background check and be VIRTUS approved. Once selected, substitutes are placed on the school’s substitute list and called whenever there is an opening.

Responsibilities

Substitutes provide supervision and instruction to students on an as-needed basis. Generally, lesson plans are provided to meet the needs of the class periods. Minimum duration of assignment is half a day. Most assignments are a full day and more rarely, several days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, preferred

• A minimum of one year of teaching experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Core knowledge of the development of Pre-K – 8th grade children

• Commitment to collaboration and high ethical professional standards
