The John Paul II Catholic School Board of Directors bears the fiduciary responsibility of any corporate board of directors. Additionally it provides leadership to support the mission, sustain the present, and secure the future of John Paul II Catholic School.

It is hoped that each board member would make John Paul II Catholic School a priority in their lives; in their thoughts, in their actions, in their prayers, and in their philanthropy.

Board members are the best link to the community

Know the community and its constituencies

Know how to approach prospects for gifts of time, talent and treasure

Hire the principal, support the principal's decisions, supervise and appraise the principal's performance, and offer advice

Help create, project, and maintain a positive image for John Paul II Catholic School

Appear as a School spokesperson when appropriate

TIME REQUIREMENTS

Active participation requires three to six hours monthly. Add two to four hours per month if involved in one of the following:

Board chairperson

Committee chairperson

Campaign chairperson

Representative of the board at outside functions
